A girl has committed suicide. More girls on a school in Skåne feel like doing the same. As Linda Wallander get the case shes more determined to solve this case than ever solving a case before, but feels more and more bad as she goes as she discovers that the girls on the school are being exploited and abused.

Wallander is adapted from the late Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels, and comprises 32 films in all. 
This 1st series of 13 films was produced in 2005 and 2006, with one taken directly from a novel and the remainder with new storylines suggested by Mankell. The BBC aired all 32 episodes of the Swedish television versions on BBC Four.
